Jobs we take on
- Community docks. Shared by more than four families, usually for a neighborhood or HOA.
- Amenity and kayak docks for neighborhoods and associations.
- Commercial docks and waterfront structures.
- Bulkheads and pilings on bigger sites.
- Repairs and rebuilds on community and commercial docks.
What's different about bigger jobs
- A bigger permit. The state treats community docks, commercial docks and marinas as major activities, so the public notice runs 30 days instead of 15.
- Local review. Some towns want a site plan review for community or commercial docks. The Town of James Island's waterfront rules, for one, call for it.
- Board approval. Plan on your HOA board and ARB signing off before anything gets filed.
